EFI VUTEk HS125 Pro with UltraFX Technology for greyscale printing

The VUTEk HS125 Pro with UltraFX Technology is an even bigger press than the HS100 Pro. EFI says it’s the perfect super high speed UV flatbed printer for high volume graphic producers looking to accelerate their digital business.

The EFI VUTEk HS125 Pro prints up to 125 boards per hour in Production Quality print mode, or 85 boards per hour in POP Quality print mode. It has eight ink channels, including two white, and inline multilayer printing. It achieves resolutions of true 600 or 1000 dpi and greyscale print capability and has standard multi-queue on-demand functionality for multi-job printing.

Of course, it is driven by the Fiery proServer with Fiery XF Production RIP and its brilliant colour management workflow. Media handling options meet any business need, with three-quarter loading and unloading as well as fully automated loading and unloading. The bidirectional communication capability between the Fiery XF RIP and printer increases workflow efficiencies, job data collection, and enables seamless integration with EFI Web-to-Print and MIS/ ERP solutions with native JDF connectivity.

The HS125 Pro handles flexible or rigid substrates up to 3.2m and up to 5.08cm thick, has optional material edge guides to hold down un-flat materials, optional elevated winders, and an automated six-zone vacuum table as standard.

Just like the HS100 Pro, the HS125 Pro comes with an ink delivery system that allows 100% ink usage, so no ink is wasted, while the inks use expanded gamut CMYK pigments for Pantone matching. In addition, EFI develops its pigment dispersions that ensure optimised size and concentration for best-in-class ink stability.

It is unclear whether a dedicated roll-to-roll model exists of this press.
