High volume, fast POP inkjet press: the EFI VUTEk LX3 Pro LED

The EFI VUTEk LX3 Pro LED printer is more or less dedicated to POP (Point-of-Purchase) printing. It’s designed for high production throughput, higher volumes and shorter lead times while maintaining image quality. And it offers the versatility to support the widest range of media and applications.

The EFI VUTEk LX3 Pro LED is a versatile 3.2 meter hybrid flatbed/roll-fed printer that prints on materials up to 5.08cm thick. It’s an LED printer, which means it consumes less and offers the capability to print on materials that wrinkle or shrink when exposed to heat.

Due to its LED technology, it has a very low total cost of ownership (TCO). It prints with eight colours plus white — allowing for see-through effects — and supports multilayer printing. Its maximum resolutions are true 600 or 1000 dpi and it features 12pL grayscale print technology

Its LED technology not only allows for thinner and unique substrates to print on, but also allows printers to grow their business with high-value specialty substrates, opening doors to more applications and unique, creative opportunities.

The printer offers great image consistency and quality, reduced waste and lower energy costs, which translates into a more efficient, cost effective and environmentally friendly print solution, standard multi-queue on-demand functionality for multi-job printing. The Fiery proServer with Fiery XF Production RIP and colour management workflow allows you to manage its workflow and through the Fiery technology, you also get bi-directional communication capability between the Fiery XF RIP and printer, increasing workflow efficiencies, job data collection, and enabling seamless integration with EFI Web-to-Print and MIS/ ERP solutions with native JDF connectivity.

The EFI VUTEk LX3 Pro LED delivers continuous print productivity with less than five seconds between boards for faster job turns, is multi-roll capable (two 152cm rolls) and can be equipped with an optional heavy-duty unwinder (HDU) and optional extension table with casters. It offers three-quarter automated load and unload media handling options and uses EFI inks supplied in 5.0-liter containers. It handles flexible and rigid substrates up to 3.2m wide and up to 5.08cm thick

The printer is fast too. In Express Mode it produces 318m² per hour, in Production Mode this goes up to 94 1.2m x 2.4m boards per hour.
